Young Apprentices build a van

Motor Vehicle Young Apprentices from across the area visited the Ford plant in Southampton and took part in a 'build a van' challenge (yes OK, not a real one!). Teams raced to finish the build and were marked on their quality and accuracy, losing points for missing or wrongly placed parts.
They were also taken on a tour of the facility to see how the Transit van was made where they spoke with employees about their job and how technology had changed they way they do things.
