East Beach Cafe takes prestigious award

The East Beach Cafe has won a prestigious award from the Civic Trust.
Held in Newcastle, the Civic Trust Awards recognise new, iconic buildings up and down the country, rewarding contemporary design and boldness of approach.
Judges described the cafe as an "amazing structure" which "imaginatively replaces a traditional seafront kiosk".
The Cafe was designed by Thomas Heatherwick and built by local company, Littlehampton Welding.
