Welcome to your April 2008 newsletter. We’ve had lots of positive feedback from our last newsletter so if you have any comments good or bad (but obviously we prefer the good ones!) please let us know.
Demo site released
Most of you now will be well aware of the existence of the Partnership’s website – www.arunbusinesspartnership.co.uk – and more companies are signing up each month, making it even more vibrant and relevant to the growth of your business.
We’ve now developed a demo site to give you the opportunity to ‘try before you buy’. All of the functionality of the main site is there, but the content is wiped every few days. You can use it to check out just how easy it is to get your information up on the main site.

Artetch, based in Littlehampton, have seen a significant growth in sales in the first quarter of 2008, thanks to upholding their high standards of quality and innovation in spite of increased competitiveness from the Asian manufacturing markets. Read the full story for all of the details!
More First Responders for the Arun District
Thanks to funding released by the Local Area Agreement Outcome 22, companies on Riverside Business Park have taken the opportunity to become trained in the use of a defibrillator, joining the Littlehampton and District First Responders.

The BIG Sussex Week
The BIG Sussex Week is coming back following its success in 2007. For those who don’t know, it’s a public relations event organized by the Sussex Tourism Partnership to boost tourism and spending in throughout Sussex.

Getting To Know You
Our Annual Getting To Know You event is your chance to not only talk to your business colleagues but to show them what you do. Each year we set up tables, you book a space and bring along “your stuff”. That can be anything from your business cards and brochures through to samples of what you produce or sell. As you can imagine Julie from Cake Genie is still one of our favourites at this event!
This year, Getting To Know You takes place on Wednesday 9th July at Fontwell Park Racecourse. Read the full story for more details and booking information!
Golf Day
Following the success of 2007’s inaugural Golf Day, another is being organised. It will be held on Thursday 11th September at Ham Manor Golf Club. To get a slice (or a wedge?) of the action, read the full story and register your team!

Yes, that’s right – Chris Shephard has now settled in to his new position at Arun. He’s still the Business Parks Co-ordinator for the District and is taking the lead on a number of important projects. Where’s Miriam?
This month Miriam has mainly been at her desk due to Easter and just too much work! However, she has been to visit a new company who are hoping to open in Bognor Regis and provide a very exciting leisure facility – watch this space for more details!
Don’t forget: if you are proud of what your company does let us know and we’ll send Miriam out to visit you – no it’s not a threat, Miriam’s task for 2008 is to get to know as many local companies and what they do as possible.
