Trolleys on Lineside Industrial Estate

After a few conversations with businesses and the Police, it appears that trolleys from a nearby food store are being discarded around Lineside Industrial Estate Littlehampton. Although Tesco’s have taken measures to stop this by adding magnets to their trolleys, shoppers are still finding ways of taking them off site and using them to take their shopping home.
Unfortunately these are then left in the Industrial Estate. I have spoken to the duty manager at Tesco’s who is keen to get them back as they are expensive (!) and I’m sure businesses want them removed from their environs. The answer seems to be as always a joint approach. They have agreed to send a trolley person out to the industrial estate once a month to check for lost trolleys. Our part in this is to report it to their (wait for it readers) “Trolley Hotline” via Customer Services on 0800 505555.
So if discarded trolleys are sending you off your trolley (sorry – couldn’t resist!) please contact the customer service number shown.
