A good many local businesses out there actively engage with local education providers, however did you know that there is an active Young Apprenticeship Programme being run by the Education Business Partnership at WSCC?
 

The Young Apprenticeship Programme is a unique programme for hard-working and talented 14-16 year olds who have a talent and enthusiasm for their chosen vocation. In West Sussex, it is currently available in: - Motor Vehicle Service and Repair - Engineering Our Young Apprentices spend one day a week at a local College following a City and Guilds qualification.

They also spend time over the 2 years with a local employer to gain invaluable work experience, organised at times at your convenience. Our current group of Young Apprentices have impressed their employers no end, and many of them have even been offered jobs at the end of their programme already. At the end of their programme our Young Apprentices should be able to fast track their 16+ Apprenticeship, saving you both time and money. One of our Young Apprentices works at the Sidlow Car Group in East Grinstead, and they have this to say:

"He’s getting on great, it’s nice to have someone young who is keen and interested to learn with the ability to mix in easily with the guys who are not only older but more qualified?" We are looking for companies willing to offer our Young Apprentices work placements - from anything from a week to the full 50 days in order to train them for a possible future Apprenticeship at 16+.
