Putting the care into Caring
, Wednesday, 06 February 2008
PC Community Care, sponsors of the Arun Golf Day 2007, offers so much to the local community and help people to live comfortably in their own homes.
PC Community Care became involved with the Arun Business Partnership Golf Day due to their close working ties with St Barnabas, helping clients to live as independently as possible both before and after they go into the hospice.
This may take the form of a complete care package, or simply home visits to ensure that everything is well. The team of up to 50 fully qualified carers can also advise their clients on mobility products or changes that they can make to their lifestyles to enable them to live each day to its fullest extent.
The keystone of their service is reactivity – which is especially valuable to Social Services (with whom they have a contract) and also Worthing Hospital. If they get a call saying that an individual needs urgent care, they can get someone there within 90 minutes and that carer can stay as long as required. It adds to up to complete piece of mind not only for the client but also their friends and families.
In addition to their caring work, PC Community Care can also provide mobility equipment and a home cleaning service (which is available to all, not just those with particular difficulties). With over 25 years’ experience in the caring profession and a constant programme of structured training keeping the team at the forefront of the profession, PC Community Care truly puts the care back into Caring with its holistic approach to keeping their clients well and comfortable.
